Retail Manager

Our client seeks a very talented and ambitious individual to become a key member of the management team for this exciting retail and tourist destination. You will forge very close working relationships with all retail tenant partners to create a "centre of excellence" in terms of customer satisfaction, visual excitement and store presentation. You will take a pro-active partnership approach to help tenant retail brands to maximise their full trading potential.

This will include detailed analysis of tenant performance to identify areas of weakness / opportunity, and to provide a comprehensive package of support to each brand in terms of practical guidance, training and mentoring to help them improve performance. You will also act as the "guardian" of visual presentation standards within the centre, and ensure that every tenant problem / issue is dealt with in a prompt and professional manner.

This is a front-line, hands-on role which requires high levels of energy, enthusiasm and diplomacy. It is vital that you are able to generate a culture of collaboration and participation with tenants, whilst simultaneously ensuring that standards are achieved and enforced consistently throughout the centre. The ultimate objective is to drive sales performance, tenant profitability and customer satisfaction.

Success in this role should quickly lead to further career development within the organisation; if you have the desire, ambition and experience to succeed, then this is a very direct pathway to Centre Management and beyond within this fast-expanding international portfolio.

They are looking for at least 3-5 years operational experience with a blue-chip retail, department store or shopping centre environment. Leasing Manager

Our client operates one of the most iconic retail and tourist destinations in the UK. Recognised as the leading provider of luxury brands at achievable prices, they are now actively recruiting a Leasing Manager.

Reporting to the Leasing Director, you will coordinate the leasing processes for the site, liaising closely with colleagues and external advisors, to ensure the timely and accurate issuing and completion of all contracts and other lease documents.

In addition you will manage the regular flow of detailed information about the current trading success of existing tenants and the number and nature of enquiries from new brands who are interested in moving to the site.

You will inevitably become one of the main contacts for the retail brands. Coordinating the business to business marketing for the site will be a key element of this role as well as ensuring that marketing materials are kept current and relevant.

If you are a graduate with around 3 years post graduate work experience in retail or property and have an avid interest in dynamics of the retail industry and its trends, we want to hear from you. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be well organized and able to deal with detail while working in a busy environment.

The successful candidate will be a talented and dynamic senior executive with a detailed knowledge and understanding of the construction industry, and ideally with specialist knowledge and experience of steel/metals and related product sectors.

A graduate with 10 years plus construction management experience ideally gained with blue chip companies in a variety of increasingly demanding and complex senior level roles. Candidates will have first class technical, financial, professional, managerial and leadership skills.

In addition they should possess an impressive record of personal and career achievement gained with internationally renowned construction companies. Extensive experience of working in India or a similar emerging market will be of particular value, as will the ability to thrive within a complex, multi-cultural and multi-ethnic working environment. Tenant Finance Manager

This specialism means that internationally accepted standards of Centre Management are installed and maintained to rigorous levels.
A key aspect of their unique approach is their dedicated Retail Focus, enabling Tenant Principals and Store Managers to benefit from established retail and management procedures geared towards the mutual success of both Landlord and Tenant, working in partnership. This organisation effectively act as a "one stop" solution for Investors and Developers, and provide a comprehensive range of client services including Centre Management, Facilities Management, Marketing, Tenant Leasing, Treasury, etc.

This brand new role is a hybrid Asset Management / Lease Management / Audit, based out of their Glasgow office, but as the person would be involved with individual centre's admin staff and treasury depts, there would be some travelling involved across Europe.

Key headline responsibilities are as follows;

- Getting the tenant debts down to the best in class
- Ensuring the links between the centre team and treasury are strong
- Providing due diligence info for potential buyers
- Ensuring the financial info provided is quality assured
- Assessing treasury suppliers in centres
- Minimising landlord contributions through the management of the service and promo charges
- Ensuring the year end reconciliations are done promptly and accurately
- Manage tenant leases and flag up renewals etc.
- Benchmarking and analysing KPI trends
- Ensuring document control and info libraries
- Ensuring the Glasgow office is slicker on delivering admin tasks such as expense claims, travel, fee collection

Key skills;

- A finance/accounting/auditing background with knowledge of credit control
- A systems and process person with good IT skills
- An excel and database wizard
- Personality, drive and passion are also needed!
