Our client is a globally renowned manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer of fashion apparel, who will this year participate in the Bread & Butter fashion fair. Employing over 5,000 people in 32 different countries, this highly ambitious and profitable business has an annual turnover in excess of 250 million USD.

Based in Istanbul, this family business operates the market leading fashion brand in the Balkans, Ukraine, Russia and Turkey and trades through over 3000 company owned, concession and franchised retail outlets.

To realise fully the enormous commercial potential of their retail fashion brands in south eastern Europe and western Asia, this international trading business now wishes to recruit a talented and dynamic Merchandising professional.

We are looking for an outstanding individual. Someone with an impressive record of consistently growing top line sales, bottom line profit and market share within a fast moving retail fashion multiple environment.

The successful candidate will be a tough minded and entrepreneurial leader who will firstly establish and thereafter maintain retail industry best in class planning, supply chain and inventory management systems and processes.

Numerate, analytical and systems literate, he or she will be commercially astute, financially aware and possess sound business judgment. The ability to successfully motivate, coach and develop your team to reach its full potential is essential.

Head of Supply Chain

Our client is one of India’s leading property, construction and financial services business that has recently made a strategic decision to diversify into food retailing. Their methods of market entry are primarily acquisition and to a lesser extent organic growth. Within the next 3 to 4 years they confidently predict to be operating around 1500 stores.

To realise fully the enormous commercial potential of their retail brand in India they now wish to strengthen their senior management team through the recruitment of a talented and dynamic Head of Supply Chain. Your key objectives are as follows.

• Introduce world class procurement processes that will transform the supply chain.

• Plan the company’s merchandise intake from its vendors and to ensure maximum product availability at minimum cost.

• Create item specific forecasts over a rolling time horizon to be used for ordering and inventory management purposes.

• Inform and shape business strategy through influencing and managing key stakeholder relationships.

• Lead your team and cross functional teams to manage category plans in a complex and challenging environment.

• Analyse and develop best / least cost routes from sources of merchandise from vendors to distribution centres.

• Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning / forecasting / performance.

• Establish and maintain best in class business processes relating to the ordering of stock from suppliers to replenish distribution centres ensuring optimum availability.

• Lead business process reengineering efforts as it relates to supply chain planning and execution systems.

• Create integrated processes with Retail Operations, Purchasing, Logistics and suppliers to execute the planning / replenishment process.

Highly commercial and analytical, with an assertive but personable style, it is important that candidates have charisma and personal presence to engage at the most senior levels and the passion to lead, inspire and develop teams.
